Position, purpose & impact
As a Software Engineer in Queue‑it’s Identity & Experience team, you will play a key role in building and evolving the technology that powers our virtual waiting room platform. Your work directly impacts how millions of users experience high‑traffic online moments, ensuring secure, reliable, and seamless access for customers worldwide. You will contribute to developing scalable, high‑performance solutions that can handle extreme traffic spikes without compromising user experience.
Working closely with other engineers and product stakeholders, you will help shape technical decisions and platform capabilities. This role offers a strong balance between hands-on development and collaborative problem-solving. You will report to the Engineering Manager within Product & Technology and be part of a team that values quality, learning, and continuous improvement.

Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
Experience
1+ years of professional software development experience.
Experience working in agile development environments.
Skills
Strong understanding of software engineering principles and best practices.
Experience with web technologies and REST APIs.
Ability to write clean, scalable, and high‑performance code.
Familiarity with Git and modern version control workflows.
Understanding of cloud technologies and cloud‑native concepts (e.g. AWS, Azure, or similar).
Experience using AI‑assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or similar to improve productivity and code quality.
Certifications
Relevant cloud or software certifications are a plus, but not required.
The role in action
In your day‑to‑day work, you will:
Develop and deliver new features for Queue‑it’s virtual waiting room platform.
Solve complex engineering challenges in close collaboration with your team.
Write clean, maintainable, and high‑performance code designed to handle large traffic spikes.
Participate actively in code reviews, architectural discussions, and technical decision‑making.
Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve critical production issues to ensure platform stability.
Continuously evaluate and improve existing solutions with a critical and constructive mindset.
Stay up to date with emerging technologies, industry trends, and engineering best practices.
