BDA Assessment

We strive to give our Business Development Associates autonomy and space to develop their talent. As a part of our team, you would be interacting with various clients in the incipient stages of the sales cycle and analyse the companies we decide to approach.

Often you are the first contact and impression a prospective customer has with Queue-it. Therefore, it is important that you are a good communicator and understand the business context in which we are operating. 

Spend 48h to answer the following questions in a Word Doc and send them back to the email you received it from.

 

Task 1

Imagine you need to introduce Queue-it to the IT Manager of a company of your choice that sells products online.

  1. Please specify the industry segment and provide a link to the shop as well as a short description why you have chosen the company.
  2. Write a short email trying to capture his/her interest. 

Please use a maximum of 120 words for each answer.

 

Task 2

Imagine that your prospect:

  1. Did not reply to your email. What would you do?
  2. Replied with the following message:

“Hi X, 

Thanks for reaching out. We are not interested and have a solution for high traffic in place.”

How do you imagine responding to such an email?

 

Task 3

Answer the following open questions and provide reasoning to support your thoughts:

  1. Queue-it serves the following industries: Online Retail, Ticketing, Public Sector and Education. What might be one or two other industries to target and why?
  2. What are indirect competitors to our virtual waiting room?
  3. Who are the kind of people (positions, job titles) we should reach out to at any given  online ticketing company in order to win them as a client?

Please use a maximum of 150 words for each answer.

 

Task 4

Given the 4 companies below, please create a ranking that indicates the likelihood of the companies to become a client of Queue-it. What reasoning/criteria did you use for the prioritization?

  • Primark Stores Limited
  • eBay Inc.
  • Lockwood BVBA
  • NEXT RETAIL LTD.
